The 3/4 Kirby.... I mean Stetson
Ok Stetson has been dieing to have Uncle Kirby teach him the famous wrestling move that took him to State when he was in High school. So yesterday we ran away to go see the Chatterton Fam. Here are some pics of the event as it happend. As you can see he learned it quickly and decided that I was the best canidate to practice it on. It is called the 3/4 Kirby, formerly called the 3/4 Nielson which is just shy of the illeagal Full Nielson, now which has evolved into the 3/4 Stetson. The History of this great move is that uncle Kirb went to state with 21 of that years 22 matches resulting in pins due to the 3/4 Kirby. If you see this move you'll see that your pinned before you know what hit ya. Stetson is very confident that he can follow in his uncles footsteps. I'm just excited for him to practice it on someone else besides me!!!!!!!!!! Go Stetson

Wrestling 08
Stetson Wrestling year is off to a good start. He has improved since last year. We are very proud of him. He has had 3 wins so far. He has learned to avoid pins and use defensive moves. He's now trying to use offensive moves. I guess it is a proccess. He has grown alot. Tell you what it's even hard for me to hold still in my seat when he is on the mat getting smashed or doing the smashing!!
We decided to let Maurlee go to pre- school at the head start this year. She started somewhere else but Head start had an opening and they let her in. After I had her all enrolled I became sad because I realized she would be gone from me along time in the day. At first I was excited but a then realized that my baby is growing up and I hate it. She calls it the big school and goes Monday through Thursday. Also she gets to ride the bus. The little squirt has to be on the bus @ 7:10 am. Yikes, then arrives home around quarter to one. This picture was her bus ride home the first day. I think they wore her out!!!!!
Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween!
Wow this week was a tough one because mom got SICK! Not just sick but Lay down and die sick! Earache that makes you Cry sick. Mean while still tried to pull off Halloween school parade, the first week of Maurlees new pre-school, ski-school fundraiser start-up and work. Go figure that 5 days later I am still sick!
Well here are the tricker treaters and there NO cost costumes this year. Next to there pumkins that Dad helped them carve. Also Grandma took them trick or treating! Thank Goodness. I have to say I''m glad thats over. Now if I could just get rid of this stuffy nose!!!! OH by the way Stetson says he is to old to trick or treat so he watched a scary movie with a friend!

Maurlees Birthday
OHhhh! She is 4! She loves horses. She told her dad that all she wanted for her birthday was to ride her horse fleet. It was a fun day with friends and family. Jared almost started the house on fire with the hamburger grill. oh of course that is my fault he will tell you for buying cheep watery greesy burgers that ecourage big flames! We sure love that lil girl though! Bossy! I wonder were she gets that! Oh and the cute pink boots are lost! I am soooooo sad she was such a hottie in them!
Would you believe this brought tears to my eyes!
I was soo excited to watch Stetson in the Band this week. We have a new band teacher who is spicing things up in this boring town. Mr & Mrs Goodworth whom lucky for us are good friends of ours too. They have seen Stetsons interest in music and have really encourage him. He now takes piano, guitar, and is learning the drums. He stands in preccussion in the band and has been invited to play with the high school band at the games. He loves it! Anyway not sure exactly what the tears were for but I really felt proud of him!

Fireworks @ the Beach!!
Fire works on the Fourth at the beach has turned into and annuall with the Bakers. The Bakers are our fun neighbors! Brandon ,Sabrina, Bradley and Brodie and Shaylee. We have started going to the parade, rodeo and then packing the grill out to the lake for play time and chow time followed by fireworks. What a blast!
Tim McGraw Concert
What a fun night!!!!!!! Val and Jason Crane, Brandon and Stacey Bauman, Carrie Schrieber and Heather Brown and Jared and I had the great opportunity to go the the Tim McGraw Concert in Salt Lake. It was at the Usana Ampa theatere and there were many strange people there. Stacy crossed stared with a very sexy women who we call "Crack" because that is all we could see. Yes she stood in front of us. She had a hard time keeping here evil eye off Stacey. I think she may have been jealous of Stacys mezmarizing beauty.
It was soooo much fun to sit on the grass, visit and laugh. Trust me we did plenty of that!!!
Miss Bear Lake Valley!
Those who know me well know that my life from about April until June was consumed with Miss Bear Lake Valley! I had the opportunity to Direct the pageant that had not taken place for 20 years in this valley. It was an honor to work with the women and girls involved and I really hope that the purpose of bettering the community we live in took place. I have heard many good things about young girls now wanting to take some kind of talent lessons because they want to participate in the future. The girls who won the awards deserved them. All the girls grew and drew strength from with in to bring them selve to do it. I am soooo proud of all of them. They were not the only ones that benifited from this event. The community as whole is a little better place and Myself ( even though I sweated some tears and lost some sleep) grew from having such a grand capacity of a responsibility and finding that I could do it and do it well. Although I had Incredible help with it and could not have pulled such a success with out each of them. I have to just mention that I was told by certain some peoples that it could not be done and that I was wasting my time. HHHmmmm! I believe that only fueled the fire! Thanks to all those who helped, to all my friends who still love me even though I dropped off of the face of the earth for three months and thanks to my husband who when it was over actually complemented me and his exact words were. You did awesome! Thanks hunny. I needed that from you.

Teachers Pet
Taedyn Graduated from Kindergarten. OOOhhhh my sweet boy is growing. I felt my emotions when he was up there. This boy takes care of me. What will I do when he is in school all day next year. Oh Crap! What will Maurlee do we he is in school all day next year???? I have to mention that we were secretly informed that he WAS the teachers pet. How does he do that? He charms everyone around him and he does not even have to say a word!
MEMORIES WITH FRIENDS AND STORY TIME
Okay,
So Carrie gets this big idea that the kids need to go play on the stairs at the overpass. In Montpelier the highway was built over the train tracks and it is known as the overpass. There are stairs at the bottom and you can climb up and look across the highway. The main street in town also loops under this over pass. So we did. The kids loved it. Who would have thought cheap entertainment. Well it got even better when Jim Keetch ( Cop) showed up Telling us there was a complaint. It turns out someone called the police saying that there were children up top on the overpass. What these people did not know is that their mothers were there taking pictures of them at the bottom. Jim just laughed and we reminisked about the time this mother and her good friend Stacy hung a frozen coyote that Jared had shot in the winter with a rope over the overpass as a joke. We laughed until out throuts burned from breathing the winter air. Jared also used to climb up under the over pass and catch pigions for target practice. Yes. My husband is a murderer and that fact will never change. Um, I kind got off the subject. Any way, Cop thought the kids were cute. Kids had and adventure and I had something to blog about!

Ski School Wrappin Up!!
We have one more week of ski school! Last Friday was a great day. We were boardin with our hoodies on and NO COATS. The snow was great. I got a few pictures of Stetson and Taedyn after it started snowing. Stetson is just coming off of a Jump. Wow he got LIKE THREE FEET OF AIR THAT TIME! ( Napoleon). Tato likes to go down a run called Back Door. It is gentle slope with little jumps on the sides. I am starting to appreciate powder. At first powder is a beginners enemy. Now that I am MORE ADVANCED ( JOKING). It is pretty fun flying all over that mountain though.

Bunkers Hill
I'm the King of Bunkers Hill, I can fight and I can Kill! The childhood rhyme I learned growing up in the deep snow was passed down to my offspring today! Jared's friend who works for the county came out to plow roads our way. He came to say Hi to Jared and ended up pushing snow in the back where our new barn will be built this spring. It just so happens that we now hat 15 foot high snow banks. Right on! My Kids spotted them the minute they got home from school and were out there for hours playing past dark. It brought back so many memories for me thinking about doing that very same thing with my brothers Kirby, Kyle and Cody. Jumping , rolling and sleighing down. We never knew it was cold! We were always having too much fun! We'll have to have a Bunker Hill Party for old time sake. What do you say Brothers???? Sharing moments with your kids similiar to moments you cherish as a child make life worth living!!!!!

Jared Learned to Snowboard
Can you believe it!!!! My husband took a day off and went with us to ski school and learned to snow board. I had the opportunity to buy gear for fifty percent off so I decided to buy myself and Jared snowboards. Mind you Jared has never boarded in his life but said he would give it a shot.
The day comes and the kids and I were VERY EXCITED to witness this event. YOu see secretly I was wanting see him struggle at something seems how everything he tries seems to come natural to him. You should see the guy ride a horse. No , he is no professional but the most knot headed beast will purr like a kitten if he gets on it, among other examples of his can do anything skills. So any way..... we strap the board on and teach him how to walk with one foot out to the lift. NO Prob! I fell on my tush sixty five times the first time I tried this. Up the hill we go on the lift. The Dismount was near perfect! I still fall on my butt!!!!!! Ohhhh! Now comes the hard part. Down the hill. Ya he fell. A few times. That was it. He did Three runs his first day and now is ready for more. I did half a run my first day and walked out the rest because I was sooooooooo exausted from falling so much. Jealous am I but soo excited to have a family sport that we all love. Maurlee is now the only one left to learn. Next Year for sure. Here's to Jared.... Good Job! And just for the record.. I will find your Hercules week spot if it is the last thing I do. Pictures next week. I forgot to take my camera to this Fabulous event.

Wyoming Weekend
I have been waiting for something eventfull to blog. Not much happening here. I had a spur of the moment weekend and had the opportunity to go the Wyoming and stay with my husband. Great friends saw a need and swooped in to help with the kids. I have to say the alone time was needed. It was good to see the eviroment my husband lives in when he is not with us. The house is dated but nice. What was unacceptable was finding that his sleeping quarters was still his old twin mattress laying on the floor. He works way to hard to be doing that so I took a little jont around Pine Dale and found a furniture store. I bought him a new bed and made some new friends. Mike and Donna who so kindly took me for a tour of the town and took me to the grocery store. She not only took me there she saved my time by helping find all my items on my list. What nice people. I hope to see them again to. I went back to the house and made dinner for Jared and his roomates, did a little cleaning and got his new bed set up. He was greatful when he got home to see the bed. OF course he would have never done that for himself. I feel bad that he is so unselfish and works so hard so we can have nice things here but yet he lives like a popper there. I will not stand for it any longer. Any way Im also so lucky to have great friends to see a need and help. What would I do with out them. I love my hus I would love to have him home all the time. We are seriously contemplating starting our own electrical and house flip business. A move we have feared but it's looking like that is where the road is headed.

A Fear Conquered!!!!
I have to share this story! For any one that knows our Tato Bug they know that he has anxiety over day to day things. So when mom gets this Big Idea to slip him into ski- school because she just happens to be one in charge of the program for kids uuhhhh 3rd grade and up, take note Tato is in Kindeegarten, Taedyns stress level sores through the roof. Now, I did not spring this on him until the night before because history has taught me that doing that creates stress for all! Any hoo.... we get there the first week, get him all suited up and skis on and I took him to his teacher and ran.... with and ache in my heart because I knew how scared he was but also knowing how much he would love it if he just gave it a shot. After the first day he was up on skis and holding onto the tow rope and sliding down the Bunny Hill. Keep this in mind ... the Lift for the Mountain goes over head above this tow rope he spent two weeks on. Week three.. time to go on the lift. All week before he asks about the lift and if it is scary and if I will go with him. "Yes, Yes Tato I will go with you."We'll circumstances did not allow me to go with him that week ( teaching mamas like me to snowboard, I do have a soft spot in my heart for them! Every mama should do it!)and he refused to go with his teacher. So once again he played on the tow rope. Week Four.... My priority was my son. We got there and ready to go. He put every stop he could think of to not have to ride that lift. Would not put his gloves and coat on and once I forcfully got them on he plopped on the ground and told me he was not going. Picture this... Me with snow board hooket to one foot pulling him with skis on both feet , again forcfully, to the lift. We get there the chair comes around and I could hear Taedyn say under his breath ahh ahhh ahhh ohhh noooo..... and were off!!!! Going for the top of the mountain! I looked over and there is a great BIG SMILE :) on his face. Until.... he realized he had to also GET OFF! Longer story short. This child was forced to face a real fear and learned that something great came out of it because he now counts the days to ski school again. oh by the way.... one more time with mama was all he needed. He is now is a pro and rides the lift all on his own. We'll with friends of course. Luv you Bug!!!!!
